Rune Factory 3

Another piece from my digital art blog. I’m not sticking to it 100% daily, but I’m getting most days and I’m becoming slowly more comfortable with the tablet. This piece was 100% done with the tablet, not pencilled out on paper or traced from a physical sketch. I’d still LIKE to be working in physical medium, but I’m finding working in a digital medium to be a little less unbearable.

This is Colette, one of the bachelorettes from Rune Factory 3. To say she eats a lot of food is an understatement.

 

 

Fancy victorian lady

My favorite out of a set of 5 artist trading cards I did in ink and acrylic paint. The green/orange/red spatter lent this one a pretty ghoulish look so I just ran with it.

I’ve relocated to Montreal and am couchsurfing for now. I won’t be able to properly scan anything until I get a little more settled. Here’s a terrible instagram shot of a watercolour and ink doodle inspired by the back patio of the house I’m crashing at. I love all the spiral staircases in Montreal

Mermaids figure studies

Dr. Sketchy drawing session this month had a couple mermaids posing for us. No easy task with those huge fins!

It’s been over three months since I last updated. I’ve been bouncing between being too busy and being too uncreative. Also, I have a new ps3 so that COULD have something to do with it…

I knew I would be working right up to the night before. This is always my way.

The ATC orgy in PEI approaches! I’m sitting at 43 cards done as of a few days ago. I only need 22 more.

Leaving a day early for travel (hitchhiking isn’t very reliable!), one full day in Charlottetown, then back in Halifax on Friday evening.

I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures!
